She is very eco-conscious and is always looking for ways to be "greener". The fact they are non toxic markers is what first attracted her, but all the other advantages are what has made her such a loyal user. Anyway, I was checking your site out as our office might be interested in trying our your eco markers and I saw this blog posting about the City of Pasadena. That's great news that city hall is doing this, I applaud them. Keep up the good work. It seemd our neighbors were obsessed with keeping thier lawns as perfectly green as possible. That has changed and, like you, my husband and I think it has a lot to do with people considering the environmental side of lawn care. I love seeing a nice brown lawn. We’ve definitely noticed more brown lawns in our town as well…which is quite different than what we saw three or four years ago. Half of the world's grain is fed to food animals. Seafood is not a huge step above land animal use, because most of it is also high on the food chain. Fisheries worldwide are collapsing and have been for some time. We can't be eating like this. Other than that, keep up the good work and the good discussions on the blog. The kids love refilling them (the kids take turns) and they really do understand that our class is making a difference by not using the throwaway markers.
