AusPen Appreciation Draw

September 30, 2009

Hey everyone, it’s been a really busy September at the EcoSmart office, as I’m sure it’s been for all of you in the educational sector as we move out of “back-to-school” mode and into October.

We want to thank all our existing customers for their re-orders and also all the new clients who are trying our refillable markers for the first time.

And one way we wanted to show our appreciation is with our “AusPen Appreciation Draw”, kicking off the new school year. On the 30th of the month we’re doing a random draw from our customer list and giving away one of our AusPen Kits (6 refillable markers and 6 ink bottles – a $69.95 value) to say thanks.

We’ll be doing this at the end of every month. So good luck and we’ll let you know who wins the September AusPen kit.

Teens Turning Green – EcoSmart Products

September 19, 2009

One of the non-profit organizations that we think the world of is Teen Turning Green , a group of socially conscious teenagers who are focused on:

“transforming the world through  investigating harmful exposures in daily lives, schools and communities, advocating for change in policy and habits to protect our world, and educating peers and the community about healthier choices.”

Not a bad way to spend your spare time. Check them out and see if there is any way you can get involved and help their cause. Everyone we’ve been involved with at their organization are great individuals who’s passion is inspirational.

They also have launched the Teens Turning Green Collection, highlighting products that are safe, healthy and add real value in the marketplace.

We wish them all the best.

Happy Labor Day

September 7, 2009

EcoSmart Products wants to wish everyone a very happy Labor Day weekend. For many, this means back to school on Tuesday, as another school year kicks off.

We’re very pleased to see so many loyal users contact us with orders for the new school year as they continue their commitment to keeping their school and community as green as possible. And we want to thank all those who are trying out our refillable markers (AusPen markers) and non-toxic markers for the first time this year. It’s very encouraging to see so many teachers and administrators that are focused on not only saving money (and by using AusPen markers schools save a TON of money) but on really making decisions that reduce waste and toxins in the school.

We have had many, many enlightened conversations the last few weeks with educators getting set for another term, who are very much thinking about ways to be more eco-friendly in all areas. And many reference how important it is to show this behavior for the students, providing them with strong role models when it comes to sustainability, but also parents want to see it as well.

All the best in your first week back in the classroom.

Education World Highlights AusPen Markers

September 2, 2009

One of the most respected voices for educators in North America, Educationworld.com, just published a great article focused on eco-friendly school supplies. Written by Cara Bafile, this back-to-school piece helps teachers and school administrators find ways to make their schools “greener”.

We were pleased that they highlighted our eco-friendly AusPen Markers as one of the top ways that schools can reduce waste and lower classroom toxins.

You can read the entire article – Green School Supplies as there are many great suggestions.
